Shtatëdhjetë e një laureatë Nobel mbështesin Rezistencën dhe kryengritjen e Iranit

Një grup prej 71 laureatësh të Nobelit u ka dërguar një letër liderëve në mbarë botën, duke u kërkuar atyre që të mbështesin popullin e Iranit në luftën e tyre për demokraci dhe liri. Letra shpreh shqetësim të thellë për përkeqësimin e situatës së të drejtave të njeriut në Iran, ku 80% e popullsisë jeton nën kufirin e varfërisë, ndërsa regjimi vazhdon të ekzekutojë një qytetar çdo gjashtë orë.

Laureatët e Nobelit i bashkohen mbështetjes globale për kryengritjen demokratike të popullit iranian, duke përfshirë deklaratat e 117 ish-liderëve botërorë, shumicës së Dhomës së Përfaqësuesve të SHBA-së dhe shumë parlamenteve evropiane. Ata mbështesin Planin me dhjetë pika të Maryam Rajavit, i cili pasqyron dëshirën e popullit iranian për një republikë laike të bazuar në lirinë dhe demokracinë, të drejtën e votës universale, zgjedhjet e lira, një ekonomi tregu, barazi gjinore, fetare dhe etnike, një Iran jo-bërthamor dhe një politikë e jashtme e bazuar në bashkëjetesën paqësore.

Nënshkruesit, duke përfshirë individë të shquar nga pesë kontinente, shprehin solidaritetin e tyre me luftën e popullit iranian për liri dhe demokraci dhe njohin luftën e tyre katër dekadash që hedh poshtë diktaturën e rrëzuar të Shahut dhe klerikët në pushtet. Ata gjithashtu bëjnë thirrje që IRGC të renditet si një organizatë terroriste nga vendet e lira në mbarë botën.
